In short: Dubora processes only the audio from the Chrome tab you explicitly select. It sends that audio directly to Google Gemini for translation and does not route it through or store it on a Sharklish server.
1. Single purpose
Dubora captures audio only from a Chrome tab explicitly selected by the user and translates spoken English into spoken Persian in real time.
2. Information handled by Dubora
- Gemini API key: stored locally in your Chrome profile and sent only to the Google Gemini API to authenticate your translation requests.
- Selected-tab audio: transmitted directly from the extension to the Google Gemini API so it can be translated and returned as Persian audio.
- Preferences: original-audio and translated-audio volume settings are stored locally in your Chrome profile.
3. Information Sharklish does not collect
Sharklish Inc. does not receive or store your Gemini API key, selected-tab audio, translated audio, browsing history, or translation history. Dubora contains no advertising, usage tracking, analytics, or developer-operated intermediary server.
4. Third-party processing
Your selected-tab audio and API key are sent directly to Google over an encrypted connection. Google’s handling of this information is governed by the terms and privacy practices associated with your Google AI Studio and Gemini API account.
5. Retention and deletion
Dubora does not retain audio recordings or translation history. You can remove the locally stored API key using the Clear key control. Uninstalling Dubora removes its locally stored extension data from that Chrome profile.
6. Data use and sharing
Information handled by Dubora is used only to provide the live translation feature. Sharklish does not sell it, use it for advertising, use it for creditworthiness or lending, or transfer it for unrelated purposes.
7. Security
Connections to the Google Gemini API use encrypted HTTPS or secure WebSocket transport. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should avoid translating content they are not authorized to process.
8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Dubora’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
9. Children
Dubora is not directed to children under 13, and Sharklish does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extension.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the effective date shown above will be updated. The current policy will remain available at this URL.
11. Ownership and independence
Dubora is a product of Sharklish Inc. It is independently developed and has no organizational affiliation with Google. Use of Google Gemini does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, ownership, or affiliation by Google.
