Before you start

  1. Use the current desktop version of Google Chrome.
  2. Pin Dubora to the Chrome toolbar.
  3. Create your own Gemini API key in Google AI Studio.
  4. Open a Chrome tab containing spoken English audio.
  5. Open Dubora, enter your API key, and select Start Dubbing.

No translated audio

  • Confirm the selected tab is actively playing spoken English.
  • Raise the translated-audio slider and check your device volume.
  • Make sure the API key is valid and its Gemini quota is available.
  • Stop dubbing, reload the audio tab, and start again.

The connection stopped

Gemini live sessions can end because of service limits, connectivity, or account quota. Dubora attempts to reconnect after a normal interruption. If it does not recover, stop and restart dubbing.

Translation quality

Results may be less accurate with loud music, overlapping speakers, very strong accents, or poor-quality source audio. Clear speech and moderate background audio provide the best results.

Remove your API key

Use Clear key inside Dubora. You may also remove all locally stored extension data by uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
